Story Synopsis:
Winner of the 2004 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize, Primer is the story of a group of young entrepreneurs who work out of a garage. When Abe (Sullivan) and Aaron (Carruth) make a startling discovery involving their latest invention, they are convinced that they're on their way to something big. But messing around with time travel and the consequences surrounding it turns out to be much more than either man had bargained for. (Tricia Littrell)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture exhibits a gritty texture inherent in the source element. Super 16-originated images are revealing of amplified color and grain. The color palette is often saturated with predominant greens or yellows. Hues can be well balanced. Blacks are slightly weak, with lighter flecks of grain in the darker scenes. Viewers looking for glossy, clean imagery should steer clear, but those who appreciate film should enjoy this low budget sci-fi thriller. (Suzanne Hodges)
