Besides upfront ads, the special features include audio commentary by writer/director James Toback, and "Scene Sexplorations," which are clips of four of the steamier sex scenes; the three-minute "A Nice Hot Shower," the three-minute "Girlfriends," the two-minute "Ford's Big Score," and the two-minute "A Tryst With A Twist" with writer/director James Toback and actress Neve Campbell sharing their interpretations of the actual scenes. After watching the scene, the viewer is given the option of watching the scene in the film or returning to Special Features. The theatrical trailer is also included, as well as other MGM releases.
Story Synopsis:
In "When Will I Be Loved," Vera's (Campbell) sleezy boyfriend Ford (Weller) has a most indecent proposal for her, involving an Italian media mogul (Chianese) and $100,000. It seems that Count Tommaso Lupo is smitten with Vera and is willing to pay big money to be able to spend time with her. So, the promiscuous young woman decides to see what the old man has in mind. The Count claims to want nothing more than to make her happy, so Vera willingly indulges his wishes. And after the tryst is over, Vera decides to show the two men exactly what she thinks of them and of what they have done to her. (Tricia Littrell)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD has a bit of a dark, but color-rich appearance. Contrast seems a bit low. The color scheme has a warm quality, with somewhat ruddy fleshtones, lots of red and gold hues, and deep, but undefined blacks. Edge enhancement can be a problem with this title, and there is occasional pixelization. (Suzanne Hodges)
