Disc One includes the same supplements as the previously released DVD (12-minute featurette; a 16-minute conversation with Jim Carrey and director Michel Gondry; an audio commentary track with Gondry and writer Charlie Kaufman; seven minutes worth of deleted scenes; the Polyphonic Spree music video; and a 30-second commercial for Lacuna, Inc; and up-front ads). Disc Two adds a 20-minute Inside the Mind Of Michel Gondry featurette, a 17-minute Anatomy Of A Scene, a 14-minute conversation with Kate Winslet and Gondry, and eight deleted or extended scenes. A booklet is also included in the packaging.
Story Synopsis:
After discovering that his girlfriend Clementine (Winslet) has had him erased from her memory, Joel Barish (Carrey) decides that he needs some Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind himself. Undergoing the same operation as Clementine had, Joel attempts to permanently delete all traces of her from his thoughts. But his memories throughout the ordeal are too sweet, and Joel discovers that he doesn't want to lose the memories of the woman whom he still loves. (Tricia Littrell)
