Story Synopsis:
Living in the war torn Balkans, Lana's (Orlenko) only hope for survival is to escape to America with her long-lost brother Darko (Stoilov). Arriving in Chicago and speaking no English, Lana finds that she's a stranger in a strange land, and the brother she has come to depend on has a side to him that she hadn't realized. Through thick and thin, and sun and "Rain," Lana is determined that she's going to survive her life one way or another. (Tricia Littrell)
DVD Picture:
Sourced from a print, the anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture is soft and undefined in appearance. Colors are a bit weak, with milky, undefined blacks. Contrast is poor and contributes to a limited amount of detail. The picture has a gritty appearance, with apparent film grain throughout. Scratches and dirt are also noticed. At best, image quality is adequate. (Suzanne Hodges)
