He and friend Bonny Simmons (Cheadle) devise a plan to start up a mobile tire store and hope to finance it through a program for small busness loans that the president has initiated. But when their application for the loan is turned down, Sam feels the ultimate betrayal and starts planning "The Assassination Of President Nixon. Inspired by a true story. (Tricia Littrell)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture has a look that is perfectly complementary to the setting of the film, with not only a production design that puts the viewer into the 70s, but a well-balanced color palette that closely resembles films from the era. Images can be sharp and detailed, though some finer details appear a bit smeared or lacking at times, and contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered. Edge enhancement is mostly limited to higher contrast scenes, but there is some pixel breakup noticed. The handheld camerawork can be a bit dizzying on larger home theatre displays. (Suzanne Hodges)
