  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
When Flor (Vega) and her daughter Cristina (Shelbie Bruce) immigrate from Mexico to Los Angeles, Cristina takes to American life quite well. Being fluent in English and Spanish

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture exhibits a bright, naturally saturated color scheme, with accurate fleshtones, rich hues, and deep blacks. Images exhibit satisfying sharpness and detail, with nicely rendered textures, though some scenes can be softly focused. Contrast and shadow delineation are also well balanced. There is little in the way of bothersome edge enhancement, and only occasional pixelization is noticed. (Suzanne Hodges)
