  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Undercover hard-nosed cop, Chan Wing Yan (Tony Leung), is sent to infiltrate the notorious Triad crime ring. But the seemingly routine mission turns out to be extremely dangerous when he learns that the gang has a mole in the police department...someone who is after Chan. Thus the internal affairs are more like Infernal Affairs and only one cop will win this battle of wills! (Suzanne Hodges)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.30:1 DVD picture exhibits a gritty, harsh picture. Colors have a bit of a desaturated appearance, which creates a cold atmostphere that is visually complementary to the storytelling. Images are sharp, and detail can be nicely rendered. Edge enhancement is a problem with this title, and minor shimmering and pixel breakup can be noticed. (Suzanne Hodges)
