Subscribe FreeDr. Alfred Kinsey (Neeson) was an entomologist with a keen interest in gall wasps, which evolved to human behavior and human sexuality. Inspired by troubles he and his wife had in the early days of their marriage, Kinsey took on the taboo subject of sexual behavior in the sheltered American culture of the 1940s. When he published a controversial book on the subject in 1948, titled Sexual Behavior In The Human Male, Kinsey helped to lift the weight of doubt and shame from a society in which sex was hidden. Kinsey later went on to publish Sexual Behavior In The Human Female in 1953, a time when little seemed to have improved on the subject...though the doors of communication about sex had finally been opened.
