Story Synopsis:
Ryan (Kelley) is a troubled young teenager who lacks the ability to speak. One day, an accident transports him to a strange fantasy world, where he can speak where he meets up with his beloved and wise grandfather and a spunky girl named Melanie (Panettiere). Melanie takes Ryan to a magical place called The Dust Factory, where reality and fantasy intermingle, and through his journeys, Ryan learns a valuable lesson. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD offers a bright and colorful picture, with hues that are well balanced and often quite vivid. Colors are especially vibrant inside the Dust Factory. Images can be sharp and detailed, though sometimes a bit flat or slightly smeared. Edge halos can be a distraction at times, and there is occasional pixel breakup. Overall, the picture should thrill younger target viewers, but more scrutinizing adults might find it a bit flat. (Suzanne Hodges)
Soundtrack:
While the front soundstage is amply wide, there is not much else to this Dolby
