    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture exhibits generally pleasing quality, with satisfying sharpness and details. Contrast can seem a bit low at times. The color scheme appears to be just shy of full saturation. Still, hues are generally well balanced. There is some pixel breakup noticed at times, and minor edge enhancement is also apparent.     I love to read WSR because of the straightforward, professional equipment reviews. I also LOVE the DVD reviews. As a home theatre fanatic, I want to know the technical and quality aspects of my future purchase/rental DVDs with just a brief synopsis of what the movie is about. Other home theatre publications spend way too much space reviewing the movie itself. I will make my own judgments on the merits of the movie, what I want from my magazine is some insight on how the DVD will sound and look on my system. WSR gives the reader just that. GREAT mag!
