Story Synopsis:
Liz (Birch) is hot for the handsome American Mike Steel (Harrington), but he doesn't even know that she exists. Liz shares her feelings with her pal, nerdy Martin (Brocklebank), who just so happens to be in love with Liz. Promising to help her get close to Mike, he takes them and two others to a secret place for three days of fun. Leaving the friends in "The Hole" seems like a great idea to the four teens at first, but once they discover that they're locked in, their excitement turns to horror and they fear they may never get out. DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.30:1 DVD picture exhibits pleasing image quality that is often highly contrasted with dark shadows to heighten the suspense. Fleshtones are accurately rendered and colors are richly saturated with deep blacks. Images are sharp and detailed, with nicely rendered textures and definition. There is little edge enhancement or pixelization to distract, though some minor smearing is noticed in the brighter scenes. (Suzanne Hodges)
