  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Vanity Fair is based on the novel by William Makepeace Thackeray. Reese Witherspoon stars as one of the greatest female characters of all time, Becky Sharp! Born into poverty, Sharp grows into a beautiful young woman who takes one step after another up the social ladder. (Suzanne Hodges)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD picture exhibits sharp and detailed images that are nicely textured to showcase the intricate costumes and draperies that adorn the actors and sets. Colors are nicely balanced with accurate fleshtones (most of which are very pale), good saturation, and deep blacks.
