Story Synopsis:
When Neera (Tamimi), a young girl becomes separated from her family in the desert, she happens upon a wild colt, who has been separated from his mother. Once reunited with her family, however, Neera and The Young Black Stallion must join together to save her family from losing everything! Based on the novel by Walter Farley and Steven Farley. DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture is very attractive. Images can be sharp and nicely detailed, with the exception of a few scenes that have a soft appearance. Colors are rich and warm, with excellent saturation, accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. Very slight edge halos are noticed at times, but there is little in the way of bothersome pixelization.
