Story Synopsis:
Forced to scrub floors at dinnertime by her wicked stepmother and live with spoiled rotten stepsisters, Sam (Duff) dreams of going to Princeton to possibly meet her prince charming. But maybe she has a Prince already in an anonymous email buddy (Murray) who arranges to meet her at a Halloween dance. Sam panics when Mr. Anonymous turns out to be the hottest catch on campus. Can he learn to love a girl who is not a part of "the in crowd?" You will have to substitute a cell phone for a glass slipper, a convertible for a pumpkin, and an L.A. suburb for a kingdom far, far away in this new version of A Cinderella Story to find out. DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture is very nicely rendered with bright colors that are perfectly complementary to the lighthearted storytelling. Fleshtones are well-balanced, and blacks are deep and solid. Sharpness and details are also nicely rendered, with satisfying textures and clarity. With only occasional ringing around objects and minor pixelization, there are few distractions on this DVD. (Suzanne Hodges)
