    Story Synopsis:
    Rounders stars Matt Damon as Mike, a high stakes poker player who gives up cards after a huge loss in a no-limit game. He decides to go on to law school and put gambling behind him until his best friend, played by Edward Norton, gets deep in debt with a ruthless Russian card shark (the same one who beat Mike out of his money).     DVD Picture:
    Compared to the previously released non-anamorphic DVD, this new anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD looks better, though exhibits similar problems. Colors, which are richly saturated and often stylized, occasionally appear smeared with deep, but undefined, blacks. The imagery is mostly sharp and detailed, with satisfying definition and textures. Dirt and film grain are inherent in the source element. Contrast is poor and shadow delineation is wanting in better visual information throughout. There is apparent pixel breakup and edge enhancement, which can appear bothersome at times. (Suzanne Hodges)
