Story Synopsis:
Meet Van Helsing (voice of Jackman) before he became legendary as a monster hunter. In The London Assignment, Van Helsing is summoned by the Knights of the Holy Order to track down and capture the elusive Mr. Hyde. Have discretion before allowing young children to watch this bloody, violent animated prequel to the 2004 summer blockbuster. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
The animation on this non-anamorphic 1.85:1 DVD is presented with a style that closely resembles the look of the live-action feature-length movie. The color palette is often dark with deep shadows and lots of brown hues. The picture is also quite sharp, with satisfying dimension. There are no bothersome edge halos, and the animation is quite solid with little pixel breakup to be seen. (Suzanne Hodges)
