Story Synopsis:
They're big, they're bad, they're very cool, and they're nothing less than awesome! After touring for more than ten years, Big Bad VooDoo Daddy releases their first Live album, and lucky us, it comes with a bonus DVD. Recorded at The Majestic Ventura Theatre on May 15, 2003, this very hip swing band dressed in their signature 40s attire entertains like only they can. I dare you not to move, not to groove, while these guys are on stage; it's impossible! (Tricia Littrell)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD stage performance exhibits satisfying sharpness and detail, though depending on the camera angle, sometimes the image is a bit blurry. Many closeup shots of the band onstage are nicely textured (revealing of facial features and pinstripes on zoot suits) Colors are nicely saturated, with colorful stage lighting and nicely rendered fleshtones, though blacks are slightly milky. Minor edge halos are noticed around objects on the stage and there is occasional shimmering of details. (Suzanne Hodges)
