Story Synopsis:
Filmed over the last two decades, Coffee And Cigarettes is an entertaining and witty collection of 11 black-and-white vignettes that basically revolve around, well, people drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes. (Tricia Littrell)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture exhibits black-and-white images that are intriguingly photographed. The gray scale is well balanced, and often centers at newspaper gray, with few truly bright whites. Images are sharp and detailed, with satisfying textures. Contrast and shadow delineation are nicely rendered. There is some film grain and a few flecks of dirt noticed in the source element. Edge enhancement is not a problem with this title, and there are only a few occasions in which pixelization detracts from the visuals. (Suzanne Hodges)
