Also known as AKA: Lies Are Like Wishes, the DVD also includes the unrated 118-minute theatrical triptych version of the film with optional commentary with director Duncan Roy, and the U.S. trailer.
Story Synopsis:
Dean Page (Leitch) is a sexually abused teen recently kicked out of his home by his pedophiliac step-father. After managing to land a job with the wealthy art dealer Lady Gryffoyn (Quick), Dean makes his way to Paris posing as his former employer
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD exhibits 1.78:1 DV-originated images that have a you-are-there intimacy, though the handheld camera work can be a bit dizzying on larger home theatre displays. Colors are a bit flat, but are generally well balanced. Images exhibit satisfying sharpness and detail, though finer textures are lacking. There is some noise inherent in the source element. Edge halos are noticed but with no distracting pixelization. (Suzanne Hodges)
