Story Synopsis:
After witnessing a crime, two dinner-theater singers run for their lives right into the arms of Hollywood. Hard-pressed to find a decent job, best friends Connie And Carla (Vardalos and Colette) cake on the makeup and find fame in a drag queen show. But how long can these two keep up the image that they are cross-dressing men, all the while warding off the bad guys who are trying to track them down. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture is bright and colorful, and is perfectly complementary to the lighthearted storytelling. Fleshtones are well balanced, and hues are nicely saturated with deep blacks. Images are sharp and nicely detailed and textured, with only a few select scenes that have a soft appearance. Contrast and shadow delineation are also nicely rendered. Some edge enhancement can be noticed at times, but the distraction is not a huge factor with this title. Pixelization is also minimal.
