Story Synopsis:
Happy Gilmore (Sandler) is a no-name hockey player whose wicked slap shot converts into a 400-yard tee shot with the potential for big bucks. Happy hits the fairways, turning the Pro Golf Circuit into a contact sport. Throwing tantrums and his clubs on the course, and punching fans, his rivals and even Pro-Am participant, TV game show host Bob Barker, Happy outrages the establishment on national TV. DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture is bright and colorful, with nicely balanced color saturation. Fleshtones are accurate, and blacks are deep and solid. The picture is nicely detailed, with satisfying textures. Edge enhancement is noticed at times, but is rarely a serious offense. Pixelization is also limited.
