DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture has a slightly soft appearance, but textures can be nicely rendered. Viewing in a completely blackened room is recommended due to the dark nature of some scenes and limited contrast. Colors exhibit dated fidelity, but are otherwise nicely balanced with pleasing saturation and deep bluish-blacks. Edge enhancement is not a problem with this title, but some pixelization is noticed. Overall, the picture is pretty mediocre and not visually exciting. (Suzanne Hodges)
