The movie is spread across two discs and is the 190-minute Theatrical Edition (a longer cut was released on LaserDisc), and the second disc of this Two-Disc Special Edition adds a 14-minute featurette, a 23-minute television special, 11 deleted scenes, and the theatrical trailer.

The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 picture is pleasantly clean and solid, with a richly saturated color palette with warm hues that support the setting of the story. Images are presented with pleasing sharpness and textures, and shadow delineation is quite satisfying in the darker scenes. While edge enhancement is noticed in the higher contrasted scenes, its presence is not terribly distracting. Pixel breakup is not much of a problem with this title. (Suzanne Hodges)
I read WSR because I enjoy configuring my home entertainment system myself. I don't have enough disposable income to buy all new components and hire an installer to set it all up. So, I have relied on WSR to guide me in almost all aspects of the (continual) upgrade process. I have always stayed glued to the reviews so that I can choose where my dollar is going to affect the greatest impact in my system. When you have a tight budget to work with, even the smallest purchase decisions make a difference.
