    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture has an appropriately dark look for the subject matter. Colors are nicely saturated, with rich reds and bold blues, accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. The source element is revealing of some dirt, scratches, and other artifacts, as well as some film grain noticed in the brighter scenes. Edge enhancement is also occasionally noticed, as is some minor pixel breakup. Still, this is a satisfying picture that can, at times (especially the dark scenes), look downright great.
