    Story Synopsis:
    "The Cuckoo" tells the story of a Finnish sniper, a Russian captain, and the woman who offers comfort to the two enemies. When the three strangers find themselves in each other

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a picture with a cool color scheme composed of lots of subtle, undersaturated blues and silvers. Images are generally sharp, though finer details and textures are limited. Contrast seems a bit low at times, but shadow delineation is satisfying. The source element is revealing of flecks of dirt throughout. Edge enhancement is minimal, and pixelization is also limited. Overall, the picture has an understated appearance. (Suzanne Hodges)
