DVD Picture:
Visually complementing the perky storytelling with warm, richly saturated colors, the anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD is certainly a satisfying visual experience. Gag-me pinks abound in the girlie color scheme, as do bold reds, warm golds, vibrant blues, and deep blacks. The picture is sharp and nicely detailed, with little in the way of smearing. Contrast and shadow delineation are well balanced and provide an easy-on-the-eyes appearance throughout. The source element is revealing of occasional flecks of dirt. Occasional pixelization can be noticed breaking up finer details, and only the pickiest viewers might be able to spot the very limited edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
