DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits images that often look like video test patterns gone awry. The picture consists of images like close-up shots of foaming water and computer generated objects. Adjustments have been made to tweak the colors to be monochromatic at times. Images can be positive or negative or somewhere in-between. The source element is revealing of grain and dirt. Edge enhancement is rarely noticed, but there is some pixelization and aliasing.
