    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD picture has a dated appearance, but one that can be nicely rendered at times. Colors are solid and well balanced, with generally accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. In a few scenes, colors have a greenish tinge. Images are generally sharp and detailed, though some minor smearing is evident. The night scenes are very dark with limited visual information. Contrast can seem a bit low. There is some dirt and grain inherent in the source element. Some edge enhancement and pixelization can be noticed, that occasionally detract from the picture. (Suzanne Hodges)
