DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture, shot in high-definition, exhibits images that are nicely rendered, with satisfying detail and definition. Depending on the camera angle, some images appear a bit soft. Colors are fully saturated and naturally balanced, with accurate fleshtones and deep black backgrounds. Some minor smearing can be noticed. Finer details can shimmer or displace with aliasing artifacts at times. There is also a hint of edge enhancement that can distract. (Suzanne Hodges)
