DVD Picture:
The DVD picture (available for the first time in an anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 edition) appears, at least in the live action shots, strangely subdued, especially in contrast to the super-colorful animated sequences. There is even a slightly pink cast throughout the live action scenes, affecting fleshtones, whites, and sometimes the sky. There is also an inherent softness in the picture that can be a bit of a distraction.
