The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits warm, well-saturated colors in a dim environment that is complementary to the storytelling and moody theme. Fleshtones are naturally rendered and blacks are deep and solid. Images appear sharp and nicely detailed, with excellent textures. Some scenes exhibit a soft focus. Pixelization and edge enhancement are noticed, but neither are terribly distracting. (Suzanne Hodges)
