Subscribe FreeWhile in jail, a cartoonist (Byrne) creates a comic strip fantasy world where his mind can escape the confines of his cell. "Cool World" (an outrageous mix of animation and live action) is inhabited by doodles (cartoons), one of whom is the ultimate fantasy woman, Holli Would. It is actually an alternate universe from which the toonsmith has been manipulated into creating a conduit to the real world for the toons to become human. Holli seduces her toonsmith and becomes human (Basinger) and flees to Las Vegas, with a cop (Pitt), the only other human in Cool World, in hot pursuit. (Gary Reber)
