Story Synopsis:
After fighting for his country in Kosovo, Aaron Hallam (Del Toro) received one of the nation's highest awards for valor but returned to civilization a tormented man. Plagued by nightmares of killers and killing he applies his own form of justice, one that doesn't sit well with the government. After a couple of game hunters are found murdered in the Pacific Northwest, the FBI calls on L. T. Bonham (Jones), the man who taught Aaron everything he knows, to track down the killer. From the beauty of Oregon's natural wilderness to the concrete jungle of its big city, the hunter chases The Hunted and struggles to understand what led the soldier to be what he has become. (Tricia Littrell)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD opens with lovely images set in the bitter cold of British Columbia, with bluish-white snowy settings that appear quite solid and nicely contrasted. Moving on to the lush green forests of Oregon, the color scheme shifts to a nicely saturated environment with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Images are sharp and nicely detailed, though some slight smearing is evident at times. Edge enhancement and pixelization are occasionally noticed, but overall the picture is quite solid and provides a satisfying viewing experience. (Suzanne Hodges)
