Special Notes:
Originally announced with an 08/26/03 release date; current date is TBA.

Story Synopsis:
Based on the book The Iron Man by Ted Hughes, The Iron Giant is an exciting yet gentle tale for young children about a boy who discovers a 50-foot-tall steel-eating giant from outer space. Hogarth Hughes (voiced by Eli Marienthal) tries to keep his new friend a secret from the government agents who have arrived in town to investigate some mysterious events. (Suzanne Hodges)

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.40:1 DVD picture, as with the previously released DVD (Issue 35), is animation at its best; eye-popping and exciting. The picture is absolutely engulfing. Hues are vivid and jump off the screen through relatively understated backgrounds that help create the period and setting of the story. Lots of grays, blues, and greens colorfully contrast the reds and deep blacks. There are no bothersome edge halos are pixelization to distract. (Suzanne Hodges)

Soundtrack:
The performance of the remastered Dolby
