DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a picture that has a look that can slightly resemble some classic movies, with somewhat of a subdued color scheme that visually complements the 1950s setting of the story. Fleshtones can appear slightly orange or yellow, but otherwise hues are naturally balanced with bright reds and blues and generally deep blacks. While contrast is nicely rendered, visual information is slightly lacking in the darker scenes. Finer details can appear smeared at times, and pixelization and edge enhancement are present on occasion. (Suzanne Hodges)
