  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Sweltering and beautiful summertime has just hit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Frankie Wheeler (Ambrose) and her wild friend Nicola (Lowe) brace themselves for the tourist season. Working the family

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture does not look very impressive, especially when blown up on a larger home theatre display. Colors are a bit weak and washed out, with a reddish overtone that affects whites and fleshtones. Images are generally sharp, but finer details are lacking. Some smearing is evident. There is plenty of grain revealed from the small-gauge 16mm source element, and a few flecks of dirt are also noticed. Edge enhancement is a serious distraction, but pixelization is limited.
