    Story Synopsis:
    A down-on-his luck race car driver Jim Douglas (Jones) reluctantly teams up with The Love Bug, a spunky Volkswagen Beetle that goes by the name of

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced DVD, framed at 1.85:1, exhibits a picture with an expectedly dated character, but also one that is refreshingly nostalgic. Images are generally sharp and detailed, though a slightly soft focus is apparent. Colors are nicely saturated, with slightly brownish fleshtones, and generally deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation are satisfying. The source element is quite clean, with only minor artifacts, dirt, and film grain present. Edge enhancement is occasionally detected as is pixelization, but nothing that is terribly distracting. (Suzanne Hodges)
