DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD, framed at 2.40:1, exhibits this classic picture with satisfying image quality despite certain certain dated characteristics. There are scenes utilizing a soft focus, but otherwise the picture is generally sharp. While colors seem just slightly washed out, hues are otherwise well balanced like fleshtones. The source element, though mostly clean, is revealing of a few flecks of dirt and minor artifacts. Distractions like pixelization and edge enhancement are minor. (Suzanne Hodges)
