  WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
High school senior Ben Cronin (Bradford) seems to have it all

DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced DVD exhibits a very satisfying picture that is sharp and detailed into backgrounds, with nicely rendered textures. Colors are well balanced, with especially bold blues, accurate fleshtones, and deep blacks. Contrast and shadow delineation exhibit perfect balance for appropriately bright scenes, as well as those requiring a darker image for heightened suspense. There are times when pixelization causes the breakup of finer details, but edge enhancement is rarely a problem. (Suzanne Hodges) A modified 1.33:1 (4:3) version (not reviewed) is included on the disc's flip side.

Soundtrack:
The Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack is abundant in terms of spatial engagement. The sense of atmosphere is rather compelling throughout. Voices sound slightly forward in the mix, which affects their natural tonal and spatial presence. The music seems to be the predominant multichannel element, sometimes prominently filling the surrounds. Fidelity overall is very good. Deep bass is rather notable with the music, albeit without the LFE channel being a factor. (Perry Sun)
