Story Synopsis:
Just like Robin Hood, Michael Lynch (Spacey) is an "Ordinary Decent Criminal" who robs from the rich to give to the poor in modern-day Ireland. When his leather-clad figure weaves through the Dublin traffic on a motorcycle, people stare in awe. More than his two wives (who happen to be sisters), his wild kids, and his gang, Lynch loves his way of life and the notoriety. With the police closing in, and his good reputation on the line, Lynch concocts one final scheme to survive. (Suzanne Hodges)
DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD can have a softly focused appearance at times, while other times offers a clear, crisp appearance. The picture has a dim nature, and should be viewed in a completely blackened room to fully appreciate the stylish darker scenes. Colors are nicely saturated, with accurate fleshtones and deep blacks. Pixelization and edge enhancement can occasionally distract. (Suzanne Hodges)
