The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a picture that is quite pleasing throughout. While the color scheme definitely dates the picture, hues appear to be well balanced, with accurate fleshtones and generally deep, but undefined blacks. The picture has a slightly soft quality and can appear somewhat hazy. Still, details can be nicely rendered at times. Film grain and minor artifacts are inherent in this source element. There are minor distractions in the way of pixelization and edge enhancement. (Suzanne Hodges)
