DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a stylish picture that has a rough, hard-edged appearance that is complementary to the storytelling. At times, fleshtones can appear a bit orange, but colors are otherwise naturally rendered, with rich hues and deep blacks. There is enough edge enhancement and pixelization to cause some distraction. The source element is revealing of dirt, artifacts, and a bit of film grain. (Suzanne Hodges)
