DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a picture that is quite pleasing for the age of the film. Colors are nicely balanced and can be bright and vibrant. Images are nicely sharp and detailed, with good contrast and shadow delineation. Viewed in a completely blackened room, the darkest scenes exhibit pleasing shadow delineation. The dated appearance of the picture is occasionally amplified by film grain and artifacts inherent in the source element, but otherwise the picture is quite clean. (Suzanne Hodges)
