    Story Synopsis:

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD picture definitely has dated characteristics, but is generally pleasing overall. Sharpness and detail are satisfying, though fine definition and clarity are limited. The color scheme is well balanced, with subtle hues and slightly weak blacks. Contrast seems a bit low at times and the dark scenes in the mine shaft offer limited visual information. Some smearing is noticed. The source element is revealing of quite a bit of film grain, as well as some minor scratches and dirt. Pixelization and edge enhancement can create some distraction. (Suzanne Hodges)
