DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a picture that is generally satisfying for the storytelling. Images are sharp, overall, with pleasing detail and definition. Colors are rich and border oversaturation, evident in the reddish fleshtones (which look a little bit more than sunkissed). Blacks are deep and undefined. Viewing in a completely blackened room is recommended, as visual information tends to get lost in the darker scenes, and contrast seems a bit low. Edge enhancement and pixelization are noticed, as are source element artifacts and minor film grain. (Suzanne Hodges)
