ADAM Introduces Architectural Component Series In-Wall Speakers

By Gary Reber

Employing the critically acclaimed ART (Accelerating Ribbon Technology) that has made ADAM Audio a leader in studio monitors and home speakers worldwide, the new Architectural Components Series in-wall speakers provide unprecedented clarity and pristine transient reproduction.

The company’s largest in-wall model, the AC77 is a passive 3-way in-wall speaker design that features one ART tweeter, one 4“midrange driver, and two 7“Rohacell/carbon fiber woofers. The AC77 can perform at higher volumes with more accuracy due to the additional midrange driver and a more

powerful bass section. The AC77 can also create a horizontal configuration by adjusting the midrange/tweeter-section 90°. This allows it to be used in an LCR multi-channel system for excellent timbre matching.

The AC7 passive 2-way In-wall speaker uses the same transducers and technology that made the A7 pro monitor a benchmark in nearfield studio monitoring, It matches the ART tweeter with a state of the art 6.5“woofer, and uses the new Rohacell/carbon fiber cone material which combines high rigidity and high internal damping with low weight, resulting in an extremely accurate in-wall speaker.

A passive 2-way In-wall speaker, the compact AC5 also uses ADAM’s proprietary transducer technology in one ART tweeter and one 5“woofer consisting of a sandwich construction of carbon fiber and Rohacell®.

The ACS active In-wall subwoofer follows the basic principle of ADAM’s professional studio subwoofers to produce a deep and powerful bass response without mid-bass boom. The ACS is the perfect companion for the AC5 and the AD7.
