projectiondesign® set to VITALIZE InfoComm 2010 with revolutionary products

By Gary Reber

With the most innovative line-up of products ever showcased at InfoComm 2010, projectiondesign® is set to create significant buzz and talk within the AV community.

Describing projectiondesign's activity at InfoComm 2010, Anders Løkke, International Marketing & Communications Manager, says: “projectiondesign is again committed to showing innovative and revolutionary products that will be 'game changers' for the AV industry. We will demonstrate our ongoing commitment to providing products, education and support to our partners, and enable them to plan future investments and develop their business. At InfoComm we will continue to vitalize the entire audio-visual industry.”

24/7 silent and maintenance free operation with the FR12 Remote Light Source™ projector

Designed for applications where access to the projector is restricted or impossible, or where complete silence is required, the patent pending FR12 Remote Light Source™ (RLS™) series will form the centerpiece of the line-up at InfoComm. The RLS concept locates the lamps, thermal management and maintenance away from the projector head; to a rack-mount unit up to 30 meters (100
ft) away.  Light is carried to the projector head via a rugged and easy to install Liquid Light Guide™.

Already hailed as a revolutionary design, and receiving several international accolades, the FR12 is a finalist in the projector category of the Systems Contractor News (SCN) / InfoComm 2010 Installation Product Awards.

F35 wqxga projector for unprecedented high resolution imaging at 2560x1600 resolution

Due to ship in Q3 2010, the F35 wqxga projector is ideal for scientific visualization, simulation and training applications, as well as other high resolution, graphically intensive imagery. With it, projectiondesign enables a higher level of pixel density in imaging, or simply reducing the complexity and Total Cost of Ownership in multi channel installations by the use of fewer projectors for a given pixel count. The F35 wqxga's 4.1 Megapixel output is nearly double that of competing high resolution displays, based on WUXGA imagers. Using projectiondesign's unique technologies, it is designed for ultra accurate imaging for the most stringent requirements, and also features new features designed specifically for the management of multi channel systems.

/> MIPS™ image processors blends, warps, and manages image quality on any surface

The MIPS image processors have been designed to integrate seamlessly with the entire projectiondesign projector range. MIPS is a geometry correction and blending engine featuring unprecedented processing power up to 2,560 x 1,600 pixels per channel. With zero latency, user selectable scaling and blending algorithms, patented Black Level Matching, and per pixel image configuration accuracy, it is completely transparent to the source, allowing the use and display of any source on any surface. Its infinite scalability makes it ideal for large, tiled multi-channel systems.

The MIPS processors are set up and managed through projectiondesign's latest version of the ProNet software suite, version 2.0. The software provides automated color calibration of single or multiple displays and integrates fully with projectors and processors to enable blend and warp management, as well as being a full control and asset management tool. ProNet 2.0 operates and communicates over a standard TCP/IP based network.
