![]() Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced the release of Hellboy II: The Golden Army this November 11th in multiple home entertainment versions. Hellboy II will be available as a single standard DVD, a two-disc Blu-ray™ set, and for a limited time, a three-disc special edition standard DVD set. Visionary Director Guillermo del Toro brings Mike Mignola's comic book hero, Hellboy, to the screen, giving audiences a wild ride with bigger and badder weapons, multitudes of monsters, and everybody's favorite kitten-loving horned red hero, Hellboy. All three versions contain loads of extras, including a commentary track by Director Guillermo del Toro, a second commentary track by various cast members, seven behind-the-scenes featurettes, an animated Zinco epilogue comic, deleted scenes, and more. The three-disc special edition and two-disc Blu-ray sets also contain a prologue from the director, additional in-depth featurettes, an image gallery of posters and art work, storyboards, and a DVD-ROM enhancement: Hellboy II: The Golden Army Script. But only Blu-ray viewers will be able to create their own original downloadable Hellboy comic by selecting ![]() stills from the movie and adding captions via the BD-Live network. Other exclusive Blu-ray BD-Live functions are: My Chat, in which you can converse with other users on the network; My Scenes Sharing, which allows you to share your favorite clips from the film with other BD-Live users; and several picture-in-picture U-Control options, which allow you to delve deeper into the making of the film while viewing. Both DVD and Blu-ray versions of this title will be presented with a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, with the standard DVD boasting a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, and the Blu-ray includes a DTS-HD Master Audio™ 7.1-channel soundtrack.
