FAZON is a made-up name with associations to the Danish and French word “facon”, meaning “shape.” This great compact loudspeaker is targeted everyone who enjoys music and movies and will appeal to those who seek a convenient lifestyle solution with high performance and true hi-fi sound. A perfect loudspeaker for stand alone stereo use as well as a perfect/well designed companion for flat screen TV of any size. The FAZON SAT is a two-way design with a 4½-inch mid/woofer with wood fiber cone and an oversized 28 mm/1.1-inch soft dome tweeter with a powerful neodymium magnet system. The drivers share the same technology platform as the drivers developed for the critically acclaimed MOTIF LCR series. Equipped with an ingenious 360 degree adjustable pivoting bracket, FAZON SAT offers a highly flexible and easy to mount “Twist ‘n’ Tilt” function. To get the optimal listening position, just angle the speaker precisely horizontally and vertically; tilt it up or down, swivel it to either side and even mount it up-side down. The speakers are delivered with a handy table stand for easy placement on a TV table, bookshelf etc. Connecting the loudspeaker cable is done quickly in the base of the wall bracket/table stand. A detail supporting elegant and easy routing of the speaker cables, as well as in-wall cable routing. The elegant and curved cabinet body is a combination of high gloss lacquered aluminium and composite material for the baffle. The surface of the baffle is treated with a rubbery coating for a smooth, elegant touch. The grille which conceals and protects the drivers and the baffle, is held in place with magnets – allowing quick, easy removal with no visible signs of mounting pegs on the grille. Before the official launch in the Autumn, CEO Lars Worre is thrilled: “When DALI launched the MOTIF LCR series last year we were focusing on the ease of installation by introducing the patented “Click ‘n’ Connect” technology. With FAZON SAT we continue to challenge the interpretation of smart installation with our new “Twist ‘n’ Tilt” functionally. Lars Worre continues: “DALI FAZON SAT has a coherent harmonic midrange, a huge soundstage and a bass reproduction that you would think impossible from such a compact loudspeaker.” DALI FAZON SAT will be available in high gloss white and black and is expected to ship from September 2009.
