PS Audio, manufacturer of fine audio equipment for over 40 years, is proud to announce that their Kickstarter campaign for ’Sprout’, an all-in-one integrated amplifier, has now passed the $250,000 mark. The campaign, launched June 16, reached its goal of $36,000 in just over an hour. “We’re all incredibly excited by the support that’s been shown to ‘Sprout’, “ said Scott McGowan, PS Audio Director of Sales, and son of PS Founder, Paul McGowan. “We were sure there was a market out there for a basic music center with a modern, clean design, and the response to the campaign proves that!” ‘Sprout’ is the simple but high-quality hub of a home music system, and contains a 50 watt/channel integrated amplifier, a passive EQ'd phono preamplifier, 24/192 asynchronous DAC, low output impedance headphone amp and a Bluetooth receiver. ‘Sprout’ can thus play music directly from a turntable, any digital input, and wirelessly from a smartphone. The campaign can be seen here. “’Sprout’ is a step into a new market for us, and we’re really pleased to see that the media and the public in general are excited by it, “ said Paul McGowan. “We see a bright future for this little guy, and other family-members, yet to come.” The Kickstarter campaign for ‘Sprout’ runs until July 16, 2014.
